This Australian native shrub, endemic to SW WA grows to 3m tall with really interesting grey green velvety leaves to 13mm long, the reddish orange flowers are very showy occurring close to the ends of branches in Spring to Summer, these are then followed by woody capsules that are similar to Melaleuca species.
 
Best in dry climates with low humidity in well drained soil in full sun to part shade.
Moderately frost tolerant, drought resistant, attracts birds, bees and other insects and best pruned after flowering to maintain bushy habit.
 
Propagate as per Melaleuca species.
