This Australian native tussock grass grows 1 - 1.5m tall x 1m wide with fine, green, upright and slightly cascading foliage that rustles in the wind, this foliage browns off in the Winter and will re-shoot green again in the Spring.
 
Flowers occur in Summer through to Autumn and are held on top of the stems above the foliage, they are a greenish cream colour with a slight purple hue.
Best planted en masse and makes a great feature, border or bedding plant.
 
Best in protected coastal aspects in moist boggy soils.
