This is a gorgeous natural and very ornamental hybrid that grows as a small evergreen tree, has smooth grey bark, reaching 8m tall x 3m wide with showy dull blue green lanceolate foliage that is aromatic when crushed, 7.5 - 12.5cm long x 1.25 - 2.5cm wide and glorious showy flowers in shades of yellow, orange, scarlet, pink and peach in Summer, just stunning!
These flowers attract nectar feeding birds, butterflies, other insects and mammals.
 
It is best grown in warm and semi arid locations in full sun and well drained soil, preferring areas of lower rainfall. It tolerates coastal exposure, drought and frost.
 
This is a lovely ornamental hybrid that makes itself at home in the garden as a feature, shade tree and in parks.
