Cyathea robusta - Lord Howe Island Tree Fern - 500 spores

A great Tree Fern endemic to the Lord Howe Islands!
 
This is a Tree Fern that has a trunk growing up to 5m tall with roundish scars from old fronds falling, as these fall light green stripes are left on the trunk and has dark green, glossy, soft fronds 2 - 4m long.
 
It has a scattered distribution in the southern mountainous areas at low to medium elevations.
 
Best grown in filtered light to part shade in loamy, well drained soils and keep protected from frost.
