Interesting creamy yellow flowers on a cute shrub!Banksia obovata is a WA native that grows as a prickly, dense but open shrub, 0.4 - 2m tall and is non lignotuberous. Creamy yellow to yellow flowers occur over a long period from Autumn to Winter or Spring to Summer, they are approximately 6cm in diameter and occur in heads of up to 100, the leaves are really interesting, being dark green, serrated, wedge shaped to egg shaped, 25 - 65mm long x 10 - 30mm wide on hairy stems.Flowering usually starts after good rains.Grows naturally in coastal areas on white to grey sand, often over laterite or granite in clay loam.Best in full sun in well drained soils.Makes a great garden feature, cut flower or foliage plant.This listing is for 10 premium quality seeds shipped on receipt of cleared funds.
